Partnership
It is great that Level 3 is partnering with Amazon. This will help increase the customer base for Level 3 and help Amazon capture new customers. I would like to see more partnerships versus M&A's. I think partnerships are better for customers and for each company.

Re: PAYG models..
I wonder if it evens out then anyhow -maybe the savings on the months where usage is less makes up for months when it's more. Seems like it might make it more difficult to plan budgets though.

@mhhfive:

I hear you. At present PAYG model is more of a discounted model and may not be a prefreed option for upscale customers. We never know PAYG may soon come up with an upscale PAYG versions that may be more handy to that category of customers.

Re: Amazon Chime
@afwriter:

You are not alone. That will make both of us.

I often keep thinking the same about Amazon and its developments and the rate it has been succeding with all their stuff.

Re: Amazon Chime
First I heard of it too! Amazon is such a great example of how the ability to take financial risks can have a positive impact on innovation.

That seems way more practical than the time machine solution I was thinking of.

Re: Partnership
@Freehe I agree about partnerships vs M&A's. One seems to open up more opportunity, while the other seems to limit them.

Re: Partnership
I have long thought Amazon should offer enterprises more services like email. UC is another great option, given the powerful cloud infrastructure Amazon offers. But leveraging Level 3's customer facing strategies, this could be the beginning of a fruitful partnership.

Re: Partnership
It definitely wouldn't be surprising if they did, but I wonder if they don't see the benefit in it for them.
