Re: Leading leaders lead
@DHagar - I completely agree! Google and Facebook don't need to dominate all tech. It is really great to see Telenor trying to really step up their game and be a leader in this aspect. There is great potential with AI, and movies have been displaying this potential for decades (both good and bad.) But we all know fiction drives reality. We have to be able to dream it before we can do it.

Telenor AI Lab
Finally a company is giving Facebook and Google competition. Now if all the other companies put their support behind Telenor or at least partner with them so they can be on the same level as Facebook and Google that would be great. Then they could one day surpass them.

Re: Leading leaders lead
@ms.akkineni, training the existing workforce in a company to cater to organizational direction is a good approach. More companies need to follow this approach.

This is great for Telenor and great for the country of Norway. They will help them to become competitive globally in the technology industry. I hope to see more technology advances in the country.

Telenor Standards
Having experience in governance and security I am always curious about standards and security measures. They did not mention any in the article. Hopefully Telenor will include standards and security in their implementation plan.

Re: Telenor AI Lab
@freehe - That's an interesting thought, to have other telco companies that aren't Facebook or Google join together to make themselves bigger than those two giants. I think that kind of idea really only works out on paper, as good as it sounds. Though to be fair, as companies go, Facebook and Google are really far down on my list of concerns, both companies pay their employees pretty well and even do a lot for their companies that a lot of others don't do.

Re: Leading leaders lead
@freehe, absolutely!  Fully recognizing it as an asset of human capital is going to grow in importance.  We are paying salaries anyway, this leads to building value - a win-win for both the company and the employee.
