Re: Future or Fad?
@dlr5288 it does create demand for the old classic games/system and my retailers now put category retro gaming  like - http://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/gaming/retro-gaming/c/scc-8-11 and http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/category/retro-game-consoles/32287.aspx?path=d537c09e6097186e6017d10f87865d3cen01 but most of the time it half baked products - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3MXULZ/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A10F2LH4RYXQAG - mostly negative review as product is very bad quality...

Re: Virtual Video
@dlr5288 yes and no as many customers could not get nintendo mini - http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/02/tatsumi_kimishima_apologises_for_nes_mini_shortages_cites_delays_procuring_parts ... and it could tarnish Nintendo image...

Re: Future or Fad?
I've never been a huge Nintendo fan, but they definitely have a good tactic when it comes to their consumers wanting more.

Re: Virtual Video
Yeah I think it's awesome! If you're able to grab people's attention by bringing them back to their favorite times, I think that's great!

Re: Virtual Video
@dlr5288 thank you as I'm in the same boat, trying to get Famicom  replica from China but could work on North American TV... not an easy find...  as I would love to play old games... on Famicom

Re: Future or Fad?
Yeah I think it's important to first grab their interest and then make it into something that was better than the last time for them. Keep them wanting to come back to it.

Re: Virtual Video
No I agree with you. I think, especially with older people, being able to bring back a childhood memory of a time where maybe things were easier and more innocent is an excellent way to grab people's attention.

@dlr5288 also on the other hand is not easy to ride this wave and keep it as many people do have short attention span...  and to make it last or keep it going - not easy... not easy at all....

Re: Virtual Video
@dlr5288 could not agree more, in my opinion you must excite people and engage them with brining warm feeling of childhood memory... in my mind best example would be Nintendo... using Nintendo Mini as stepping platform to Nintendo Switch™  same way rule apply as it better to keep big audience attention if you play it right... follow Nintendo's way... I could be wrong and what love to hear what other think about it and have to say... - please share???
