Re: TV Time
@Adi I wonder the same for adults everywhere. There is new research into will power and habits that could help us all (if we want it).

I have a question for you about the report. How does Adobe know how often people are unlocking phones? Did they get the data from cell service providers?
"Adobe reports that consumers unlock their phones every five minutes and 36 seconds."

Re: TV Time
Good point! Yeah television can be boring, but if there's a show I really want to watch I would put my phone down.

Re: TV Time
I'm guilty of this I must admit. If someone's trying to have a conversation with me and I'm on my phone I totally zone out. I'm trying to get better though!

Re: TV Time
@dlr5228:

I wonder if this is totally because of uninterested TV programs or competing interest choices in the phone.

Re: TV Time
This sounds so much like my son. And i absolutely can't stand him for that. I think with these gadgets eye contact is no longer standard for conversation. For any question there has to be delay in response from my son(if a response comes?) despite of me repeating the question but never with eye contact only because he can't get his eyes off his phone.

Re: TV Time
Wow - this happens to be so true. And i bet we are not the ones and this is the trend now. I can no longer watch any TV without doing something else on my laptop. I am not so much into my smartphone though.

Re: TV Time
@faryl - that exact same scenario may or may not have played itself out in my life at least a few times in the last year or so..... I may or may not be fairly used to scolding myself for looking at my phone far more than I really should be.... Honestly though i just put a picture on my phone reminding me that each day with my kids is a gift because sometimes I feel guilty about looking at my phone when I should be focusing on them - and then I feel like a horrible mother. It's insane how addicting that little device can be.
