Re: VR and OTT
@mpouraryan I could not agree more... but to have freedom you must know what right or wrong... and follow the law... in the West we have freedom and access... in other places people do not have it... - how I see it...

Re: VR and OTT
@mpouraryan yes I could not agree more than - two issues are mutually exclusive... on the other hand... I try to stay far and away from Russia, but even if I try to stay away - they are comming knocking... my scene.ca $200 Can worth of  point got stolen - could you guess by which organise crime group???...  in my mind "access by all"  is for normal people... in my opinion crazy person should get  hands on a loded gun... but this days it not easy to see or know whom is certifibly crazy or not... in my youth days I love to read English author Rudyard Kipling, specially The Jungle Book... now I'm reading  Rudyard Kipling (1865 ) Ballad and short stories... one of them say -  Let it be clearly understood that... I live all over the place in my youth days but I prefer western way of life and the law it not a perfect way nor the best - but for me it great... as I do love my freedom and follow laws of the land where I live :) - North America... I do hope one day USA and Canada - have something simular like European Union... but it only my point of view...I do know - what -  I do not know much about word and I'm a dreamer by heart...

Re: VR and OTT
@mpouraryan in my mind Nintendo playing interesting game with consumers...

all newest 3DS handhelds have no longer have power supply in the box

Nintendo mini selling like hot cakes - but not much stock in North America ( USA/Canada - all electronic stores out of stock) but in Japan it over stock...

Now I fund out - Nintendo create Famicon Mini but it only for Japan market... - https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B01M1VMFUA

I remember Wii and WiiU and Red Wii Mini... plus I did see people still buy Nintendo DS in Canada as some places have old stock...

in my mind Nintendo pushing Nintendo switch while killing support everything else not a smart move... and loyal nintendo zombies will wake up...

for now only microsoft with xbox one paying right keeping it crossplay option for xbox one and 360...

bottom line I do think Nintendo doing such moves are not sustainable for the long-term

plus Nintendo creating it own challenges to stay relevant in they own mind but - to whom ??? - if the market get destroid by Nintendo with killing what people love... and loyal to...  time will tell if I'm right or wrong...

Re: VR and OTT
@Bayte: Thank you for your thoughts--We need to remember, though, that with freedom comes responsibility--and that responsibility is underscored by making sure that what I have underscored throughout my visits with you all--maintaining a sense of humanity--is at the heart of it all.   Automation is a good thing--but at what cost?  Transformation and speed is fabulous--BUT there needs to be a sense of balance.

Re: VR and OTT
@Bayte:  Thanks for sharing the insights--but what I am hearing you noting is how gaming is such a "niche"--but all players, to be transformational, have to have a broad focus for long-term strategic development--right?

Re: VR and OTT
The challenge is to make sure @bayte there is a sense of reasonableness to it.   But, in the end, it is rather subjective.   I can't help but wonder how much more rapid can it get as you for instance noted in your brief retrospective for us on Nintendo.

Interesting times...no doubt.....

@mpouraryan for me I miss good old times.... now everything changes too too rapidly... and Co. put on the market half baked products while killing good products... sometimes I'm speachless...
