Anees Shaikh, Network Architect, Google Thomas Vachuska, ONOS Chief Architect, Open Networking Foundation This hour-long webinar will provide a presentation and discussion of ONOS YANG Tools, a new Java tool-chain, introduced with ONOS Kingfisher release, and the upcoming support of OpenConfig and OpenROADM models. In this webinar, Thomas Vachuska, chief architect at the Open Networking Foundation, and Anees Shaikh, network architect, Google, will cover the capabilities of the new YANG tool-chain and will discuss the roles OpenConfig models and YANG in general play in managing large networks.

Mike Robuck is the Editor of Telco Transformation. He has a long history of reporting on the telecom and cable sectors on topics such as SDN, NFV, cloud, wireless and OTT, for publications such as CED Magazine, Communications Technology and Boardwatch. He also reported on high school sports for The Rocky Mountain News, a sure sign that he is destined for some sort of Nobel prize. Mike is based in Montrose, Colorado.
Anees Shaikh is a Network Architect in the Network Operations team at Google where he works on management automation, cloud networking, and network reliability in Google’s production networks. Prior to joining Google, he was the Chief SDN Architect at IBM where he was responsible for IBM's software-defined networking product architecture and technical strategy, including leading IBM’s open source networking engagements.
Thomas Vachuska is the ONOS Chief Architect at Open Networking Foundation and actively contributes to the ONOS codebase. He has a solid background in software architecture of distributed systems and modular object-oriented design. He was previously at HP where he architected, designed and helped develop distributed software systems for a variety of domains.
Oguz Sunay is the Chief Architect for M-CORD at ON.Lab and also the CTO at Argela-USA. He is the architect for Programmable Radio Access Network Architecture (ProgRAN) for 5G based on SDN and Network Virtualization. The architecture enables dynamically programmable RAN slicing, end-to-end network slicing as well as programmable link aggregation.
