Re: 5G Replacing Home Services
Is it cost effective enough, though?  And how can it be sustainble?  that's the key question I continue to have....

Will 5G?
5G has mostlly been presented as a question for a while now. Right now, I think it's best not to question it much if it hasn't done much so far. A better question may still be 'when will 5G do anything?' Potential is only potential; it needs more than that for application.

Re: 5G Replacing Home Services
@mpouraryan, I think that is a question we all have.  I see satellite as a viable option going forward.  I believe the newest versions with more highly sensitive communication designs are capable.  When that is proven, I believe it will attract a healthy market.

@mpouraryan, good point.  Yes to provide sustainable value to truly enable the transformation to a new reliable capability is required in order for customers to move from one form to another.

Satellite is a "nice to have".    Can it be sustainable, though?  Something I mentioned when visiting others....

They already are--Look at Verizon, Comcast and what they've done--so we're already here--right?

Re: 5G Replacing Home Services
It is nice to see the true possiblities at hand--and it is not a question of if, but when no doubt.   The challenge is the technology to be one of sustainability.

Re: 5G Replacing Home Services
@mhhf1ve, I think you are right!  I expect, and hope, that there will be new combinations that will result in better options.  And you are very correct - the net neutrality piece will obviously advance and/or diminish the options based on the level of regulation that results from the prevailing ruling.
