5G Cell Towers
I know cell phones have towers to pick up the signal to send and receive service so I'm not sure maybe it will be better for businesses and make it easier or will it be an overall pain in the long run.

Re: 5G Cell Towers
I'm always left wondering how these people who are so concerned aren't similarly concerned about the phones in their hands? I assume some are, but electromagnetic radiation drops off quickly with distance, so it's much more dangerous to be physically in contact with a transmitter (which a phone is)... so is there a "safe distance" that everyone can agree on?

Re: 5G Cell Towers
@mhhf1ve have you ever heard the rumors about wifi signals in the home being detrimental to your health? Yet nobody is clamoring to get rid of their wireless routers. At this point, whether they are bad for our health or not I don't think people would give them up.

Eye sores?
How big are these 61 new antennas? Could the town have a case that they are eyesores?

Re: 5G Cell Towers
I think the vast majority of people have weighed the benefits vs the risks and have picked the use of convenient wireless devices over the minuscule chance of cancer or whatever illness may be brought on by non-ionizing radiation.....

Re: Eye sores?
The "eyesore" issue should be a solved problem by now? I think several areas have successfully hidden large cell towers by making them look like trees.

Re: Eye sores?
The surprising part is that millimeter wave radiation is easily blocked. So it shouldn't be too dangerous. Maybe someone will start selling a type of "sunscreen" for 5G radiation? :P

Re: Eye sores?
I would copyright that idea while you still can because I bet someone could make a killing off of it. 19.99 plus shipping and handling.

Heh. I don't think a copyright is the correct intellectual protection, but perhaps I could patent a formula for such a lotion. Tin foil hat in a bottle!

Re: 5G Cell Towers
@afwriter - I actually watched a video of a science experiment done by some high schoolers where they tried growing plants in a room with (I think it was a wifi router) and a room without one. And the plants in the room with the router didn't grow at all.  Here's the article.
