Bundled apps...
I wonder if there's any net neutrality in Turkey? If a carrier provides both connectivity *AND* social messaging apps, that's a sure-fire recipe for user lock-in -- especially if the provided apps have any kind of priority or offer unlimited data caps.

Re: Turkcell
@afwriter maybe one day we gonna see it in North America but I do not keep my hopes up as technology in Europe keep developing faster and faster if compared to our neck of woods :)

Re: Turkcell
I am interested to see where this goes and how far outside of Turkey Turkcell can expand. It sounds like a good business model, especially if they are catering to niche regions. I strongly doubt something like this would ever reach the United States.

Turkcell
"Speaking to Reuters from Mobile World Congress this week in Barcelona, Turkcell CEO Kaan Terzioglu said that the carrier was able to hit its digital transformation performance targets a year early with a suite of over-the-top subscription services launched by its digital division Lifecell. "

In the world of digital advancements, it seems like there is real opportunity for anyone willing to go into a previously sparcely digitalized area and bring with them the newest technologies. It's pretty impressive what Turkcell has been able to bring to Turkey and it's even more impressive that they are willing to bring that technology to anyone else willing to partner with them.

Share OTT Success
Turkey is a country that you don't often hear but them having a business named Turkcell is great for them. I like OTT/Over the Top as it relates to online networking etc. There will more to come from OTT and I'm sure of it in a positive way.
