Re: 5G Test
I think that it is important to note here that the companies are WORKING on chipsets so even though Vodafone made this call it won't be readily accessible to the likes of us for at least another year.

Re: Coincidence
I live in the Twin Cities area and I'm an AT&T subscriber. Given how active they are in my area I would not be surprised if we ended up on the list. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little giddy at the prospect.

@elizabethv:

May not be too dramatic. But i agree with you knowing the speed of the call and the latence for video. Those are certainly promising and encouraging.

@elizabethv:

Eventually all players will have to play the catch up. And they are getting ready as we hear from Sprint, TMobile setting their targets for 2019. Apparently AT&T seems to be on the leading edge on this.

Re: Coincidence
I don't know why I'm so anxious to see if AT&T plans to roll 5G out to Denver by the end of the year. I don't even have AT&T. And honeslty wouldn't switch even if they were. Lol. Verizon seems to be the slowest to take it up but I supposed we've talked about this and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. They'll let the others catch the bugs.

Watson!
"It wasn't quite as dramatic as Alexander Graham Bell's groundbreaking call to Mr. Watson."

I mean, maybe it wasn't. But I'm still excited. Especially when hearing the speed of the call. Since we recently moved I was forced to look once again into an internet provider. I received a quote from a company that offered me 25 MBPS. I was flabbergasted that anyone even considers that worthy of quoting to a customer. That's appalingly slow by today's standards. Needless to say, I declined their service. After hearing about this, I'm really excited about the possibilties with 5G.

5G Complete
The developers started working in December 2017 on the 5G call. It is remarkable that they were able to accomplish the 5G call in just two short months. The call was also implemented two months after the 3GPP completed the 5G Non-standalone NR standard in December 2017.
