Re: 5G Super Bowl
@Michelle I find that I regularly order big nonperishable things on Target. I know that Amazon also tries to get that kind of business through its Prime Pantry (though I haven't used that).  I still go to stores, though, because we go through a lot of fresh produce that has to be replenished more than once a week.

Re: 5G Super Bowl
@Ariella I think of this every time I need to go to the store. I consider what could wait to be delivered later and what I'll need right away. Going to the store is such a hassle sometimes. I like to think we get out of each others' way when some of us choose online ordering. Fewer people in lines for those who need to go in...

@mpouraryan That's true. Technology can completely transform our grocery shopping. Now you have options to avoid going to the store or avoid waiting on a line at a store that can read and chare you for your purchases when you pick them up.

There is no question that they have to improvise and adapt to changing circustmances--I also want to remind you all (as we're talking Supermarkets) to reflect upon how Amazon GO present a picture of a profoundly challenging future....

Re: 5G Super Bowl
@Ariella I think the supermarkets are happy with that situation. I don't recall it being as based around food as it is now. The commercials didn't thrill me this year. My favorite was the "Dirty Dancing" one with Manning, which was pretty funny.

Re: 5G Super Bowl
@srulofo well, the occasion does promote a lot of sales for snacks, beer, etc. I'm sure stores are very grateful for that!

I don’t really get the point of doing it during the Super Bowl if it wasn’t being promoted.

Re: 5G Super Bowl

@clrmoney I totally agree with you, and especially this year where I wasn't excited about either team that was playing. To me, the SuperBowl is more about stuffing one's face with food.

Verizon's 'Quiet" 5G Super Bowl Demo
So who knew about this secret 5G test, beside Verizon and the parties that participated in it. I don't think Verizon should have kept something as big a deal as this a "secret."
