5G Phase II
It will be exciting to see what comes out of the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona regarding 5G. He mentioned the handsets will be available in the second half of 2019, so 5G is quickly becoming a reality.

Re: Impatient
As I read thru "tech selling itself", I hope the community checks this (it is about 15 minutes) and see how Technology can "reconcile" this with the human touch--something I have consistently talked about in my visits with you all:

@vnewman, well stated!  Once you have flown by jet you don't want to take rail!

I think your statement of technology selling itself is where we are headed in several areas now.  If we give customers the types of access and devices that add quality to their lives the demand will continue to grow and drive the markets.  (Note:  I believe that is how markets are supposed to operate, right?)

I feel that it’s a game changer in that once you step over that line and experience those kinds of transmission speeds - there’s no going back. I think this is one of the few cases where the technology speaks for itself.

Re: Impatient
@vnewman, agreed - the use and increased satisfaction of customers to video and more functionality with devices will make this an "in demand" proposition.

I’ve read that the near instantaneous transmission of video and data will enable surgeons to operate robotic scalpels in real time. Truly remarkable if it comes to pass.

I think the hook will be when people are able to download full-length HD movies in a matter of seconds. That’s what makes 5G, for lack of a better word, “sexy.” Hardware isn’t sexy. Typically.

It is good to hear that we are going to start seeing 5G hardware roll out this year, but I'm not sure how many people are going to care about the hardware that is rolling out. If you want the general public to start getting excited about 5G then you need to have 5G enabled handsets which they are predicting won't be available until next year.

I'm hoping to see what they will have in store as time goes on with more advanced technology when it comes to 5G.
