Balance
There's a huge need to balance security and latency. Basically, the ability for services to be safe and security yet still be usable. I think we're going to all need to contend with this in the coming years. Many services don't offer enough security. The ones that do are often hard to use because of onerous provisions.

Re: Balance
@dcawrey, true!  I believe that Orange Lab has a great vision of the multi-service capabilities that will provide those essential features!  The ability to functionally address and provide better services, along with new models of access-as services, provides a promising future for the company and the customers.

Re: Balance
@DHagar  I could not agree more - the way I see it Orange Lab have all the right points and ideas I just hope they could do it right and everything will fall in place... as if they do it right and other Co. will follow it will act as a game changer at the end...

Re: Balance
@batye, good statement!  That is what results in true transformation - when the leaders create a better capability and demonstrate value and gains, then the late adaptors get on board and the markets form!

Just remember how Apple took off with its various products and developing the market.  They truly created the demand for smart phones.

Re: Balance
@DHagar thank you :) in my mind Apple just copy HP/Compaq ipaq h5550 curca 2000  - http://www.zdnet.com/product/hp-ipaq-h5550/

but instead of copying ipaq adapters they add everything in one unit creating smart phone with all in one solution with stable OS

Re: Balance
@batye, interesting!  Not everything is "original" is it?  That may be.

I think what Apple does so uniquely is assembly and apply solutions that win over the consumers and are geniuses at marketing.  If you think about their core technology, indeed it relies more on application than original development?

Re: Balance
@batye, that is where the masses seem to be!  Fewer are willing and able to newly create and develop innovation - but I believe that is where the future lies, despite the risk factors.  We will have to learn to navigate in that space or be grounded and limited with what already exists.

Iíll want to know if other companies to learn and take from this. Most of the time I think itís a great idea to come up with fresh, new ideas. However, building on another companies findings can definitely move you ahead.

Completely! I like small companies a lot of the time more. They seem to be able to be more hands on when dealing with clients. Itís a shame.
