It's nice to see someone speak up for balance
The tendency in many of our interviewees is to inform us all what's the "real" right way, wave of the future, eventual outcome, or what have you.  It's good to see someone take the position that there's an advantage to choosing (and balancing) both. That's particularly good in the emotionally fraught area of DevOps versus legacy, and it's also good to see the responsibility for the balance assigned in the only place it logically belongs, the C-suite.

Digital Maturity
I would say that the digital world has been here for a few years now and with them coming up with new technology and inventions to provide us with services and products will be just wonderful so it has gradually progressed and evolved in a way.

Re: It's nice to see someone speak up for balance
..and as I was thinking about your discourse @JohnBarnes, here is a "Twist" on this that underscores the need 4 Transformation ever more so:

Special guest Eric Brewer, VP of Infrastructure at Google, discusses Kubernetes and the power of open source

The growing number of devices coming online and the need for scale are pushing the Internet to its limits. To accommodate the millions of requests being made on a daily basis, we are forced to envision new ways to improve upon the Internet's existing architecture. So, how can we manage the ramping up and down of resources during a surge? Find out in our latest episode of STACK That.

Thanks for the kinds words @bayte--part of our responsiblity is to make sure we drive home the message that Transformation is positive if harnessed responsbily--that's at the core of navigating thru it.

Re: Digital Maturity
Our Challenge is to make sure that we never forget the six stages Vala Afshar underscored (a must read for me as I make my twitter rounds in support of the work at the Daily outsider):

6 stages of digital transformation: 1 business as usual 2 present and active 3 formalized 4 strategic 5 converged 6 innovative and adaptive http://bit.ly/2koYmZ9

Re: Digital Maturity
yes @clrmoney. I think the widespread use of technology and the range of new entrants has increased in recent times.
