AT&T does seem to be very much on track and clear about its goals for automation and Gilbert is very eloquent on the topic. I had the pleasure of speaking with him about the goal of hyper-automation .

They already the automated answering machine or telephone service so what other new things they have to offer wil benefit them. I'm sure ther will ups and downs from it but we'll see

It's not single-handedly, but AT&T does seem to be doing the lion's share of the work when it comes to shaping the near and further off future of the Telco industry.

How far can AT&T go?
I personally would say AT&T is dooing most of the work and holding it's own.

I'm really excited to hear about the level of security they plan to include in their new automation. We've talked a lot about how, at times, it seems like companies aren't taking security seriously. This sounds very much like AT&T is. Adding to that they are including the security with the software and in addition to user preferences and choices, it sounds like they are really thinking everything through. As a parent with more and more toys coming fully automated and kids who will be getting cell phones, likely sooner rather than later in the scheme of life, seeing this being taken seriously means a lot. Check out the Teach N' Tag Movi! My son is getting it for his birthday in about a month.

What sets them apart is, their vision / strategy aligned to customers needs and expectation. Having these line up right along side of good customer service is only going to elevate them right in Telco industry.

Absolutely, they clearly made a mark of their own. Now they are attempting to dive into cyber security space as well with their new service model 'cyber security consulting service' or some kind of name which will primarily target helping customers deal with cyber issues.

Agree with you totally. Security automation is certainly way to go for AT&T. Only caveat would be to have a tight algorithm behind the automation that meads to multiple paths based on required security requirements. I am sure they will figure it out.

Yes! The security measures it what I was most interested to hear about. It’ll definitely be interesting to see what happens with it. If they’re able to slow down or put a stop to a lot of these security breaches then they wil be one of the first!
