Re: Doom
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Snapchat is so easy and quick to use. And helps you stay connected with friends super smoothly.

Doom
Since Snapchat rejected Faceboo's $3billion offer they have raised additional funding. However, it is not as popular with adults over age 18. What are they doing to attract those under age 18? They offer a great feature but I am sure there are still some risks and threats.

Re: Snap Snap
Especially if it’s the younger audience you’re trying to reach out to. It’s fast pace and really simple to use.

Re: Snap Snap
I know a lot of companies use Snapchat. Mostly to get the word out there quickly to as many people as possible. I think most of the younger generation really like the app. So it makes sense to reach out on there.

Re: Snap Snap
@Liz That's really interesting. I knew a lot of folks were using Snapchat for different promotions. I hadn't thought of MLM programs. I see them advertised on facebook. I'm not a Snapchat user so I have no idea what the content might look like -- good for them for trying out a newish service.

Re: Snap Snap
Good points. Personally, I think that Snapchat is taking over a lot of social media’s. For one, it’s easier to use than a lot of them. It’s not overly complicated. Second, it has almost everything to offer. Pictures, talking with friends and family, a messaging portion, magazine articles, etc.

Re: Snap Snap
@Michelle - I think marketing is a lot of their niche market. A few of my friends that do MLM's use SnapChat to market their businesses. As I'm not on SnapChat I have no idea what exactly they do, or how effective it is. I'm guessing the idea is appealing at least to some users. Though how people use multiple social media outlets is absolutely beyond me. I barely have time for Facebook anymore.

Re: Snap Snap
You're right about that. Snap could be on top if it were able to offer more integration. They are doing a lot for marketing folks right now.

Re: Snap Snap
@Joe, the marketing functions of Instagram are so multi-faceted it is amazing.  Advertising for big-name players is only the tip of the iceberg. I have to agree with you about its evolution as a marketing platform but I don't think that IG or Facebook could have even thought of all the ways that it is being used to market products and promote brands.
