Open source and open platforms are important for collaboration. Vodafone's joining ONAP is a positive addition in everyone working together.

I thought collaboration was the key--and why shouldn't it be?   The idea that somehow people can truly go it alone is kind of scary especially these days--even mighty Apple has to collaborate....

@Mike yes, while rival companies may have entertained the possibility of opening up a separate collaborative group, once one gets this kind of membership, it wouldn't pay.

CenturyLink is interested, and Verizon is kicking the tires as well. The more the merrier as far as having more brain power for all of the code.

Vodaphone is something very interesting and it has millions in revenue and with them teaming up with ONAP just means to expand opportunities for business because it will continue to increase and evolve.
