Re: SDN for Automation
@clrmoney, SDN for automation is great. I got so tired of working at companies that lacked automation. In some instances the cost for automation was very low. There are a plethora of options available to help companies automate their processes but they have to select the right combination of products.

Re: SDN for Automation
We will have to see where this all leads to, but I believe SDN and the automation it brings will be part of the Telco environment from here forward. The efficiencies and ultimate cost savings are too compelling for carriers.

Re: SDN for Automation
So true, between automation and virtualization our industry is going to change dramatically over the next 2-3 years. Like all change though, it has to be driven by customer demand and uptake of services. Anyone who has been in this industry for any length of time has see the next "big idea" go nowhere if customers don't buy it. There is much that can be automated inside the Telco infrastructure that represents efficiency and ultimately cost savings for us, so that will motivate some of this as well.

Re: SDN for Automation
For anyone who has spent time doing networking, this is going to be a game changer. Automation will allow networks to operate at a higher level than ever before. It's pretty exciting technology, and I cannot wait to see how this is implemented in the real world.

SDN for Automation
I like Software Define Networks/SDN as it relates to automation it may be great for it or not. I'm not sure but we'll see as time goes on.
