It is great that Verizon is using SDN to create a virtualized world. SDN is a powerful solution that can solve many problems and improve many processes. I would like to know if SDN will benefit customers in their everyday life.

@dcawrey, @dcawrey, I agree. It amazes me that Windows still has security risks. By now you would think that they would have addressed those security risks but I guess since their cusotmer base is so loyal they don't have too until they move towards the cloud.

@batye The worst of it is being placed on those who don't know enough about computers or security to do anything. Windows has become a huge attack vector - and most people just don't have any idea.

Security is one of the most exciting things I could see better done with some of these new technologies.

Yes- security is a cat and mouse game. But I think bad actors are going to have a tough time catching up in the virtualized world.

If Verizons SDN wants a virtual world then I say go for it if will be something different to increase customers or businesses for more profit.
