Re: Cable on Deck
Arpit made it sound like there would be cable announcements soon. I know that in the past there were some marked differences in architectures for cable and telcos, such as headends instead of central offices, but they are starting to become similar through things like IP.

Re: ONAP Industries
@freehe I would say not only faster, but it would be a smarter way as they would be making it based on the right/correct up to date info/data...

Cable for ONAP
Cable is very popular with companies like Spectrum that was Bright House and Charter etc. So if they want to be with ONAP then go for it and let's see the outcome.

ONAP Industries
I see that many industries can use ONAP especially industries that are overloaded with customers such as  the medical industry. ONAP can help so many industries reduce costs and work smarter not harder. It can help them work quicker and more efficiently. I see it also helping to allow executives to make decisions quicker.

Cable on Deck
@Mike, Great article. I am curious why Comcast and other cable companies are not on deck. There has to be a good reason since many and embarking on other technologies such as AI and big data and SD-WAN and 5G.

Re: Is Cable On Deck?
@Mike, that would be an extremely smart and positive move for cable operators.  It would enable them to truly add value to their offerings to customers.

Your outline of value from multiple users is excellent - that is where the true transformation takes place.  The ONAP, and platforms that provide new context for solutions is a win-win proposition.

AT&T is wisely applying this and demonstrating value with their platforms.  I am wondering who else will step up and be a leader?

I am also wondering with our US providers will be in the lead or if international companies will be leading the pack (ie Huawei, et al)?
