Re: Cloud Foundry
Very true! There's no need to focus on the things that will never change. It's just going to have to be an every day thing. However, to focus on something that will help in the long-run seems like time well spent.

Re: Cloud Foundry help so many
@dcawrey. I agree. Digital transformation is here to stay. Organizations will have to digitized their systems and processes to remain competitive and reduce costs. However, this requires money and some companies do not have funds to engage in digital transformation.

It takes a great balance to remain competitive, reduce costs and continue to provide value to customers and suppliers.

Cloud Foundry
"So much time is spent just keeping the lights on. The day-to-day stuff?

DD: Yes. That's exactly it. And that has not gone away, and that will never completely go away, but technologies like Cloud Foundry will help solve it."

That is a good point. Davis is correct. Many companies spend tons of money on day-to-day operations and it will not go away. In the future companies will still have to spend money on day-to-day operations but if something can help companies save money that is great. Cloud Foundry is going great work for companies.

Comcast
"Comcast runs on Cloud Foundry. In the last two years, they went from three developers to more than 1,000 developers using Cloud Foundry and all their backend services, which is millions of services a day and billions a year, are now running on top of Cloud Foundry. And they're updating and iterating these products on a consistent basis."

This is amazing. Comcast is doing great work in this area. Unforunately Comcast neglects to do this as well for their cable back end services. It would be great if service worked good at least 80% of the time.
