Re: ONAP wants more
@mhhf1ve I doubt they'd admit that publicly, but I do think that would be a major concern. Following AT&T's lead here may suggest that they are followers, not the first to realize that this is worthwhile. That's not something a brand that wishes to present itself as a leader is happy about.

Re: ONAP wants more
Wow. It's not surprising that Verizon is considering joining ONAP, but it's a bit strange to see a large telco dragging its feet in public about deciding to adopt an open source project. Usually the feet dragging is done completely behind closed doors.... It would be even more interesting to find out why Verizon is hesitant to join. (Beyond the obvious reason that its largest competitor joined first.)

Re: ONAP wants more
I had a story all written up and then was told that person had "mispoke." I couldn't get it confirmed anywhere else so I had to drop it.

That's an interesting rumor. I suppose Verizon might jump on the bandwagon....

Re: ONAP wants more
A few months back, a person from an open source community said Verizon was joining ONAP, but once he/she realized what had been said totally backtracked. So I'm going with ONAP over OSM based on the rumor mill.

ONAP wants more
Whatever they need to do to get more exposure for ONAP then go for it to get people more familiar and educated on what you have to offer or what you're trying to do.
