Re: Cultural Transformation
@ms.akkineni - I completely agree! It's important to always be prepared to change to meet customers needs and demands. Sticking with any idea that just isn't working anymore doesn't benefit anyone.

Re: Cultural Transformation
@srufolo1:

Absolutely. Being agile with any huge intiatives will only help as quick check points to make sure that the initiative is still appropriate in terms of original approach, because things are changing very rapidly and any company wouldn't need to wait at th end of the tunnel after all the time, cost and effort spent that their approach is out dated.

Re: analytics
Ariella,

Besides the direct silo-breaking, there's also the promotion of simple awareness (anyone who wants to know if a given kind of data is available is going to be able to find out quickly and with minimal effort) and possibly most critically, one-stop shopping -- if it's not in the central repo, it doesn't exist, so you only have to knock on one door.

Re: Cultural Transformation
@ms.akkineni  It works for AT&T apparently because a centralized analytics team can define the toolsets and make recommendations, according to the article, even if it isn't as agile as the decentralized approach.

Re: analytics
@Ariella:

Very good analysis. I am seeing many organizations moving towards centralized analytics approach for the same reason.

Constantly changing culturally
Cultural transformation is a data driven change for the people and the organization and is has to be because things are constantly changing and improving for the better.

analytics
I should think that the primary benfit of a centralized analytics team would be that they would likely ensure access to al relevant data and so break through the silos that prevent organiations from obtaining a comprehensive picture that includes all the pieces.
