Re: AT&T's Chris Rice Details ECOMP & OPEN-O Merger
Ariella, Dcawrey,

And yet for every proverb, there's an equal and opposite converb: "Fail Fast" and/or "Ready, Fire, Aim"  are sometimes the fastest way to a result.  The trick is being able to accurately estimate cost of backtracking and fixing versus cost of delay.

(Or maybe we should side with Marcus Aurelius -- festina lente -- "make haste slowly.")

@dcawrey that's the "measure twice, cut once" appraoch. Unfortunately, in real life, so many people measure once, cut wrong and then have to cut again or force an imperfect fit that will come apart later.

I agree with not taking shortcuts. You've got to do things right the first time around. Otherwise, you'll be spending a lot more time in the backend trying to fix all the stupid mistakes.

AT&T ECOMP and OPEN-O
They say that ECOMP was bought in for OPEN-O to meet for ONAP diverse ways etc. I think if those two work together than that is great for business.
