Re: Hyperactive Operators Large Shares
@dcawrey, that is a fascinating - "tell-tale" development.  That fits the R&D directions of Google as well with their knowledge and investments in autonomous vehicles (given their history with Google mapping).

Could be fascinating and could add some Google value through their experience.

Re: Hyperactive Operators Large Shares
I just read about Google purchasing a bunch of land in Nevada near Tesla's gigafactory. The word based on fiber installations is that the company will build a huge datacenter there.

Hyperscale indeed.

Re: Hyperactive Operators Large Shares
@clrmoney, good advice to keep the options open.  I would go further and state that part of the issue is also new business models where "tech platforms" (ie IaaS, PaaS, etc.) are providing new and better options, and establishing the hyperscale operators that are putting these effective platforms together.
