Re: Trend
Yes and it'll be so much easier to start off that way. It makes the most sense.

Re: Trend
We need to realize that , this approach saves effort, time and money that gets spent for that intial groundbreaking stuff.

Many companies have various pre-existing frameworks that they use while building new products. They always reuse basic foundation and that is a perfect strategy.

Re: CL's Matherson: Future Is Now for Enterprise Cloud
Good point. I definitely do not think that the Cloud is a good fit for every company. Some times it'll only make things more difficult.

Re: Trend
Very true. It gives you a starting point and an area where you can work and build from. So you can skip all the trial and errors in the beginning.

Re: Trend
Having s starting point in place would certainly eliminate all the ground work and time to knock off all pre-work. That definitely is a positive factor besides existing framwork as a foundation.

CL's Matherson: Future Is Now for Enterprise Cloud
This is so true with the critaria and the design for the cloud it can be very pwerfull. It may be also to good for the enterprise to control without the right the technology and specs they need to have. I think its a good point to make a cross the company's support with the cloud.

Re: Trend
@dlr:

Also the old technology could have underlying foundation that is matured enough and retaining such maturity is only going to help the next stage product. One less thing to worry about basic foundations.

Re: Trend
@dlr5288, I agree. That would definitely be useful. Right now companies have to pay a lot of money to find older workers who have expertise in older systems. To be able to merge old and new systems will help save money and paying expensive consultants.
