Cybersecurity Attacks
I am not surprised by the statistics. Companies do not enforce their policies, don't have any policies, do not properly train employees on security measures or are lacking effective and current security software and tools.

I worked in IT security for 6 years and you would not believe how many companies have not updated their security patches and opearting systems. Some were behind 5 to 6 versions and were in shock when a cyber attack occurred. LOL!

@ms.akkineni AT&T is making lots of changes. It's moving along with VR and with its DirectTV and before long it will be offering Wi-Fi everywhere. Right now, I think they offer it in Florida. It seems like such a no-brainer.

@srufolo1:

It is quiet interstig to know that there are places where AT&T doesn't offer wifi service. This makes me think that - no wonder there is lot to be caught up with. Just having a feature alone is not going to help but make that accessibe is what the real key is. Till that point consumer is not experiencing any value out of it. I certainly agree that there could be many valid barriers why we still aren't there.

Similar thoughts, I have mixed feelings. Being a technology person i would prefre not to give up and that side of me making me lean more towards hope.

@Michelle, @af:

We better hope for a better security model. The question is are we confident about getting there confidently? At the same time we have to be positive and hope for the best to arrive.

@Michelle:

The prices are really crazy. I see that carriers are coming up with competitive price package.But the baseline price isn't getting any better. Till that changes, i can't expect prices getting lowered any time soon.

@srufolo1:

Intersting stats, Thanks for sharing.

Looking at these numbers, i am very concerned of how much needs to be plugged in yet for cycber security protection.

@dc:

Couldn't agree more with what you state.

Carriers must provide that protection for customers. If that confidence is not provided, that may stand out as a limitation for further growth in IOT.
