Re: VR
> "VR is more hype than anything else.."

After hearing about some of the problems at Magic Leap, I'm more skeptical of AR/VR than ever. I think there may need to be a few more decades of incremental improvements before AR/VR is really ready to "revolutionize" anything.

Re: VR
@mhhf1ve for me VR is more hype than anything else... I could not use any VR due to the bad eyes... but to each his own.... I do hope VR not gonna follow path of 3D TV... but time will tell...

I'm not a fan right now.. but I won't say I'll *never* be a fan of VR. Maybe when someone figures out how to tap directly into the visual cortex of the brain and direct a "lucid dream" to generate a VR experience? That way there'd be no veritgo or even a dorky goggle headset?

Inception.. here we come!

Re: Hulu VR Update
@freehee VR is anything but good for me. I can't even handle watching 3D movies. I can't be alone in that.

Re: Hulu VR Update
@Michelle, I think it is  a gimmick too. I don't buy a product based on gimmicks. There is no monetary benefit or other benefit for me buying VR. It doesn't improve anything that another product already provides, - HD TV, UHD, OTT, etc.

Re: Hulu VR Update
@dc I vote for gimmick! I think there are fewer folks interested in watching shows in VR. Personally, I'll stay away.

Re: Hulu VR Update
@dcawrey, I will you. I don't want to either. It just does not appeal to me to watch content using VR.

Re: Interesting...
@Joe, "There's also cost, gross and unsanitary conditions, rude patrons, deafening new sound technology (although I acknowledge some consider this factor a plus), and the general hassle of arranging with multiple people going to the movies."

Those are valid considerations. That's why sometimes I like ordering new releases and watching them at home - no noise, 1/3 the cost, no unsanitary conditions and I can watch it as many times as I want to and rewind or fast forward at any point in the movie.
