Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
Yes I completely agree! It just seems a bit silly to me as of now.

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
@dlr That's an excellent point -- why bother if nobody watches, right? Record and post for on-demand viewing if you really really want someone to see it someday.

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
Yes exactly! There's probably so many that have no views at all! And if there's only one or two people watching is it really nessasary to put up a live stream in the first place?..

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
I can't imagine all the the live feeds that don't get watched. The number must be really high.

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
I personally feel like it will eventually die off once people get bored of it or there's not enough people watching the live video feed.

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
Yeah I've definitely seen more live videos on my Facebook feed. It's not really my thing, but a lot of people are into it. Youtube is my number one go to when it comes to looking up videos and things like that.

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
@Joe I suspect this common sense approach isn't the one driving the assumption that mobile phone usage equals mobile video enjoyment... I have a feeling we'll see A LOT more about live video before it finally dies off (should that actually happen).

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
@Michelle: I honestly don't know -- but for the purposes of this question, I'm not sure it matters.  Just because Millennials like to use their phone for everything doesn't mean they like to primarily consume mobile-created content.  ;)

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
@Joe I guess YouTube live is a bit easier to enable than when it was newer. I picked Pariscope as the winner of streaming, but really it's too early to tell. Can you broadcast live from the YouTube mobile app?

Re: Dreaming of Live Streaming
Facebook Live has certainly been the talk of the town since it was introduced, and people have really taken to it -- but YouTube still dominates for now, IMHO.

Worth noting that YouTube is still, to my knowledge, the second-most used search engine in the world -- behind Google itself.
