Re: Be afraid!
It's a bit like whack-a-mole - as soon as you knock one issue out, another one pops up - and you don't know where that next one will be, just that one will definitely pop up!

Yes! Completely agree. Security is always going to need upgrades and going to have to be constantly fixed along the way.

Re: Be afraid!
@faryl, great point!  That is very true, there is a bottleneck at the center.  It's like having an effective air conditioner, but then having it on with the windows wide open!

Re: Be afraid!
@faryl, interesting assessment.  And I have to agree, it is probably accurate.  The models of government "control" over paperwork, etc., is leaving gaps and inefficiencies in a data driven world.  So the transparency appears to be one-sided - they want information on us, but do not have the infrastructure to provide that disclosure, let alone transparency, to us.

Re: Be afraid!
I'm not surprised.

After reading "Hacker, Hoaxer, Whistleblower, Spy: The Many Faces of Anonymous" by Gabriella Coleman, I've resigned myself to the idea that none of my data is safe and that privacy is just an illusion, and that our government is not going to own up to any of its shortcomings any time soon :-/
