Re: The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
@mpouraryan, well there is a good one!

Yes, they have had a great reputation up to now.  So now how do they "rebuild" their brand.  Focus on their key quality products and/or build reputation for the company and its capabilities?  This should keep them up for a few hours working on!

Re: The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
Since we've been discussing branding, I could not help but share this I just got in my inbox during my PM "walkabout"--I can't help but wonder what would Samsung do now:

Samsung's history of duds

Samsung killed the Galaxy Note7 this week after the devices continued to burst into flames. But the tech behemoth has not extinguished scrutiny over its safety record.

@mpouraryan, good point on effective "branding" - the key to establishing an effective market.  Sounds like great experience.

Re: Masergy's SD-WAN Value Proposition
@batye, thanks!  That is what will open the doors to new users who can change operations and create opex savings that will drive further use.  Then you are truly expanding the markets beyond those who already see it as a solution.

I couldn't agree with you more--I struggled with my own start-up, the Daily Outsider, on this very question as I am working on trying to somehow take it to the next level.    It has to be catchy--and it has to resonate.

Re: The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
This reminds me of the "What's the proper way to pronounce GIF?" debate.

Anyway, FWIW, my take is this: If the proper pronunciation of your company's name is unintuitive, you've selected a poor company name.
