Re: AT&T's Khan on Platform Approach for IoT
Yes, I'm excited too!

As a Verizon customer I wish they were doing something along these lines. However, it's going to be interesting to watch AT&T and see how they do with IoT.

Re: AT&T Platform Approach
@clrmoney, good points.  It should lead to lower costs - if nothing else due to the shared cost of technology, let alone the improved results.

I think it will be a very competitive solution and becoming the systems of choice in the future.

@freehe, I share your vision.  Great idea about the partnerships of large companies with small companies.  That makes sense and would truly open doors to new innovations!

AT&T's Khan on Platform Approach for IoT
Excited to hear about AT&T approach. Curious to see the future of IoT. IoT is so large no one company can provide enough services to tackle the environment.

It is great that AT&T will be able to consume data, to collect data and to connect to their IT systems which provides a faster, easier, cheaper for them to build IoT applications.

I would love to see big companies partner with smaller companies and startup companies to create something phenomenal.

AT&T Platform Approach
When he talked about what they call platorms like consuming data and collecting data was very interesting to see if they can make it cheaper and easier for us and them in a way.

AT&T's Platform Approach for IoT
@Joe, excellent article and capturing of AT&T's approach.  This is a brilliant design.  I like the concept of "platform layers", which gives them high flexibility.

If they can scale/price this properly, they should be hard to compete with.
