@dlr5288 it all depends on type on network and level of security needs... it more like case by case- from network security point of view...

Re: Telenors with Sandbergs thoughts
I agree. I definetly see it in the future, but as of right now human based networks wil probably ill be used. Also right now it's probably better for security purposes to not use Al.

Telenor's with Sandbergs Thoughts
It will take a larger amount of time, resources, research and equipment to start an AI initiative. It will be much easier to start a virtualization initiative that can save time, money and resources by lowering operational costs, producing faster speeds, consolidating equipments, reducing maintenance costs, and producing a faster ROI.

AI is a much more expensive endeavor and has the potential for producing many bugs if it is not developed properly.

They are definitely moving towards innovation.

The network along with the available bandwidth (with the steps for instance AT&T taking with 5G noted here in TT) will be the key driving force.

Re: Telenors with Sandbergs thoughts
I have a feeling AI will be something initialy used as an enhancement vs. as a stand-alone technology. Implementing AI solutions for predicting usage spikes or glitches, for example, can assist humans make their decisions when controlling networks.

Re: Telenors with Sandbergs thoughts
Virtualization is coming, much sooner than AI will. I don't think telcos will be using AI anytime soon, but it is certainly something for them to start looking at. I still think human-controlled networks are the safest networks...
