Re: Turf War?
Yes, absolutley! I'm usually a loyal Verizon customer, but if the prices are right and AT&T are moving in a better direction..I have no problem in leaving!

Re: Turf War?
@dir5288, I am with you on that.  Eventually it works out though, because if one does not meet the customer's needs the other one is happy to step in.

Re: Turf War?
Yes so true! Which after all is why competition is so important to the consumer. Lower prices, faster customer service, better packages, etc.

Re: Turf War?
@dir5288, this is a case where the competition will probably make both better!  The customer wins either way.

Re: Turf War?
I agree with you!

It'll be interesting to see who gets ahead, Verizon or AT&T. I've always been a Verizon customer, but it's impressive seeing how AT&T is building.

Re: Turf War?
@elizabethv - very true!  I don't believe Verizon will just sit by and watch.

I think they will acquire and/or build some new alternative options.  They will compete fiercely and probably do a better job of advertising - they are already.  So they may be a better marketer.  But I believe AT&T will build the better platform.

Maybe the race is on for the tortoise and the hare?

Re: Turf War?
@DHagar - You're right, AT&T does appear to have the lions share of the companies involved in helping them achieve 5G first. Still, I would be surprised to see Verizon let them win. At least not all too gracefully. They have proven they are willing to attack any company who comes close to challenging their top spot in the business.

Re: AT&T continued growth
AT&T is all about speed.

In many metro areas, they learned early on the pull of a smartphone. This led them to upgrade networks for high capacity. This, I think, is one of the main reason why the company is so focued on 5G.

Re: Turf War?
The standards issue seems to be ithe only true obstacle to 5G. It will be an impressive feat if ATT can make it all come together.
