Re: One of the Originals
I'm not surprised by the security flaw. Friends got spam from my account even after I changed my password - I finally deleted all of my contacts to try to prevent that from happening again in the future.

Re: One of the Originals
Yahoo's services seem to be in limbo right now.. I have a friend who found a critical security flaw in Yahoo's email, and no one seems to be jumping to fix it. I wonder if Yahoo and AOL emails will be combined somehow.. and how that will affect millions of users.

@dlr5288  I could not agree more, but it not an easy process to do it - right...

Re: Is this a Blackberry Moment?
I predict Verzion will kill off Yahoo services that don't play well with AOL and/or lose money without gaining eyeballs... because it's all about advertising now.

Re: Is this a Blackberry Moment?
@afwriter I'd bet the latter, though it may take a bit of time before it implments the changes.

Verizon and Yahoo
Yahoo is a big company that sores information for email services etc. and verixon got them is a shock but verizon offers many things as well like phone services and phones so I think this is a home run for them.

Is this a Blackberry Moment?
Will Yahoo stick around or is Verizon going to keep certain elements and ditch the rest?

One of the Originals
It seems like yahoo's been hanging in there, determined not to go the way of geocities & netscape, but even though they're a pioneer, everything they do is always clunkier than some new company's version. I think my first email address was a yahoo one - back then passwords only had to be 3 or 4 letters (mine was "frog"). Ancient times! :)
