Re: Hulu
@vnewman,

I am interested to learn more about the on demand content, I haven't heard anything about that yet.  At $40 a month I think it would not be any better than having Hulu and Sling or Vue, but maybe there is something in their that makes it worth that price.  Never the less, I love all this competition that is being brought about by cord cutters.

Three Cheers For Netflix
The results of this poll don't surprise me at all. Netflix, once a DVD-by-mail company, has evolved with the times and never stopped coming up with great ideas. It is also reportedly a great company to work for because of its great benefits for employees, which is another reason it is probably so successful. So, kudos to Netflix!

Re: Hulu
Hulu may soon fare a bit better - the WSJ just announced that they will be adding On Demand content along with streaming video feeds.  You should be able to access: ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Fox News, FX and Fox''s national and regional sports channels, and more.  $40 bucks a month.

Netflix's Dominance
Netflix topping the list does not surprise me. It's kind of obvious. I personally belong to the crowd that use Netflix extensively.

Netflix Price Change
I could quickly recall hearing in the news about Netflix price change. I do not have more details though. But I am wondering if at all that would have any impact to Netflix dominance position going forward.

Re: Hulu
@Joe I'm a consumer of streaming digital content. I think Hulu is taking the wrong approach with ads. I don't want to see ads at any paid level. Paying for fewer ads isn't appealing at all.

Hulu
I suspect that Hulu could have fared much better in this survey -- and, indeed, would be selling many more memberships and taking away more market share from Netflix -- if it didn't insist on showing ads to paid members.

Sure, they have a more "elite" level of membership now that gets rid of ads if you pay even more, but I think that consumers see this as nickel-and-diming.
