Re: Amazon Prime
@batye, I fully agree.  It destroys the human trust in communities and neighborhoods.

Maybe we need to use our digital connectivity in smarter ways to rebuild security and then we, as humans, need to take steps to resocialize our communities and rebuild neighborhoods.  Big task, but worth doing - it is our quality of life.

Re: Amazon Prime
@John Barnes, great scenario - I love your creative thoughts!

Then we will send them to "drone prison" - or "disconnect" until their term is completed.

Note:  I was an avid fan of your entire technology crime series on Light Reading - you're the best!  Thanks for adding color to this.

Re: Amazon Prime
Hunh. Wonder how long before they start building houses with Drone Delivery Hangars in the roof -- i.e. the drone arrives, sends a signal to open the door in your roof, flies into the space, drops the package, flies back out, door closes. And then how long before someone hacks a drone hangar for criminal purposes (drone enters, deposits bomb .... drone enters, releases gadget that crawls downstairs and unlocks doors and windows ... drone enters, releases micro camera drone which moves to bedroom ceiling .... drone enters, releases swarm of nanoburglars ...)

Re: Amazon Prime
@batye, a sign of the times, I guess.  Sounds like a smart move.  You should open up the service to your neighborhood for "monitoring" and have it pay for itself!

Re: Amazon Prime
@batye, they sure continue to prove that, don't they.  They are one of the most consumer-focused companies and they continue to demonstrate the value of that.
