Agreed! It's very different hopefully things will go smoothly. I'm very interested to see how this will all turn out.

Re: So...Hu's on First?
I find this a little strange - is that a realistic time frame to accomplish anything useful?  I guess time will tell.

Although he does have Huawei's new P9 on his side - if people embrace it for the camera features like they are hoping, it may make his short stay a bit easier...

This 6mo term makes me think that the CEO won't have all that much long-term planning responsibilities -- which is either a good or bad thing, depending on your point of view. But if most CEOs are looking at stock performance as an indicator, it's probably not that much different a concept to have a 6mo term end. Some CEOs probably think only to the next quarter....

Six Months...Enough Time To Contribute?
The concept sure sounds very interesting. But if we think about for any person to settle in a new role with new responsibilities it takes sometime. Since the person is internal to the company there should be no challenge with company's general culture, Policies etc. But getting adhered to this leadership, visionary role and to start contributing as expected, is six months too short of a timeframe? I am thinking it is.

Re: So...Hu's on First?
This is a very interesting concept to serve as CEO for six months. This reduces the comfort that most CEOs have in their positions. On the other hand no matter how well you do, you only have six months to serve. I would love to see this implemented in the U.S.
