@bayte, yes, different domains, markets, applications, etc., will develop different designs, particularly for the enterprise markets. 

The other distinctions I see are whether the cloud use is predominately external supply chain with partners in products/service delivery and/or internal with enterprise-wide development.

mhhf1ve, great questions.  It sounds as if NTT is building the right platform to be a strong competitor.  But your point on the unique markets brings up an interesting one - both for the differences as well as the leading providers (AWS, et al).

Note - I also agree with the prediction that the hybrid cloud architecture is going to be the preferred overall - I think that will further separate the major players.
