Re: I voted for IoT cloud hook up
@batye, yes, it opens up new layers of service.

As you and Ariella are correctly reviewing however, there will be companies that try to "patch" , as Ariella points out, as opposed to transforming onto new platforms.  I believe part of that is not having the confidence to successfully transition - which includes having the vision, infrastructure, talent, and culture.  So they try to continue to build off their existing base.

They should learn the lessons of Digital and other companies who did not transform.

Re: I voted for IoT cloud hook up
@afwriter, good points.  A platform that maximizes the value of the connected devices stands to benefit everyone.  It truly becomes a multiplier affect and optimizes both the devices and the network.  I am a fan as well, I think it will provide real value to the consumers.

Re: I voted for IoT cloud hook up
@afwriter that makes sense. However, I also think that that organizations have to be willing to let go of legacy programs patched together to design a comprehensive solution on the ground up in order to really effect a seamless experience for users.

I voted for IoT cloud hook up
I am a big IoT guy and I can already see a need for a better way to consolodate and control all of the devices that are being used in homes and businesses.  A more comprehensive cloud hookup could also lead to an easier time piecing together and IoT using products from different companies.
