Yes, he definitely has the Silicon Valley vision. The time period you are referring to was not as fast, Moore's Law, but was equally as competitive - as that was the launching of the internet. So as I see it, he learned the ropes during that time. He truly has a great vision and I like the point at the end that it really means everything can change. He doesn't talk like a telco veteran, which is good - but he's been in wireless/wireline most of his career. Maybe his Silicon Valley roots go back to 80s and early 90s.
