How important will it be to offer integrated, voice-activated digital assistants (Alexa, Google Home, etc.) for TV services in the next three years?
Essential; everyone will use digital assistants in the next few years. Not having voice-assisted navigation, recommendations and search for their TV service will severely hurt operators.
Somewhat important; digital assistance in selecting channels and titles will be required for higher-end packages in the very near future.
Some people will want it, others won't care. It's not going to be important for everyone.
Meh. Voice, shmoice. Nobody cares.
We've been waiting for reliable voice recognition since the late nineties. It never works. It's stupid and frustrating. Can we please just stick to the remote?
