Orange Business Services has teamed up with Huawei for a new managed cloud offering that targets large corporations.
The goal of Orange (NYSE: FTE)'s international cloud strategy is to aid multinational corporations migrate their legacy applications and services to the cloud as part of their digital transformation initiatives. By tapping into a public cloud, enterprises will be able to ensure that their infrastructure and applications are available across the geographic regions where they need to be hosted.
The new cloud service, which complements the existing Orange private cloud portfolio, includes advice, auditing, integration and managed services for cloud infrastructure and applications.
The new cloud services, which leverage Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. 's OpenStack technology, will roll out across Western Europe and Southeast Asia in April, followed by the US in October 2017. The Middle East and Africa are slated for 2018.
