Later this month, Telco Transformation will host the industry's first OPEN-O webinar.
In March, the Linux Foundation unveiled its OPEN Orchestrator Project (OPEN-O), which was designed to create an open source, unified orchestration platform for end-to-end service orchestration across both NFV and SDN network domains.
OPEN-O will enable orchestration of any service over any network by leveraging a modular approach that can be integrated with multiple VNF managers, SDN controllers and VIMs.
While OPEN-O is focused on orchestration, it is also intended to allow service providers to manage legacy network infrastructures and interwork with legacy OSS and BSS systems. (See OPEN-O Debuts at MWC.)
Panelists for the June 28 webinar include:
"This webinar will cover the OPEN-O vision, target use cases and architecture based on our operator participation," Cohn said. "Project status will be shared as well."
Make sure you register for the webinar, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EDT, and have your questions ready for the panel. (Sign up at OPEN-O: Orchestrating SDN & NFV.)
