Hu Rotates In as New Huawei CEOStarting Friday, Ken Hu has got next in Huawei's rotating CEO system. Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. implemented its rotating CEO system five years ago, which means a new CEO is appointed every six months. Hu will take over from current CEO Guo Ping tomorrow and serve as CEO until Sept. 30.
Hu is deputy chairman at Huawei, and is also chairman of Huawei USA, in addition to being head of the company's global security committee. Hu, who joined the company back in 1990, has worn numerous hats at Huawei, including chief strategy and marketing officer, chief sales and service officer, president of global sales, regional president of Huawei Latin America and president of Huawei's Chinese market. — Mike Robuck, Editor, Telco Transformation |
